Greg Benevent

Actor-Comedian-Voiceover

After years of writing screenplays that were optioned but never made and ghostwriting jokes for others, Greg began stand up. He’s since performed all over the country and been in a bunch of comedy festivals. He performs every week at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. You do not remember that Greg was in the April 1992 issue of Nintendo Power magazine (yes, Ken Griffey Jr. was on the cover. That’s just how long ago it was).

The only member of his peer group who didn’t take acting classes, he returned to acting in 2017. Since, he’s been in commercials, movies, shorts, while also recording voiceover ads, audiobooks, and more.

He came to LA as the winner of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Drama TV Writing Fellowship in 2003 (placing him on Star Trek: Enterprise). Since then, he’s had scripts optioned and his screenplay “The Film Professor Who Kills Hot Students for Fame and Healthcare” has placed in more than a dozen competitions. Additionally, he’s the top name on UCLA Extension Writers Program “Where Are They Now” page (due to alphabetical order).

Every week, Greg records the podcast “What Yinz Talkin’ About” with Kyle Chrise. This is for “Behind the Steel Curtain,” part of SB Nation, discussing social media in regards to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s basically just making fun of people on Twitter. He is also the podcast host for Website Depot, an award-winning digital marketing agency.
